• Widening the scope of meeting socially responsive learning culture for developing self-reliant graduates through self employment and entrepreneurs.
• Make UAHS as nodal centre for skilling and re-skilling students and faculty in Production, Processing, Protection and Promotion to cater the needs of Industry.

Objectives

• Providing opportunity for students to upgrade more soft skills, managerial skills and IT enabled skills.
• Motivating students to deeper cross sectoral learnings across frontier area of science and technology to take-up start-ups, entrepreneurship and commercial agriculture through enhanced skills and technology.
• Build partnerships between Industry, Institutions and Alumni so as to provide education catering to industry-ready programmes.
• Build partnerships with International Institutions to provide globally competent agriculture graduates.

Under Institutional Development Plan (IDP), the NAHEP revolves around enhancing the educational relevance and quality, IDP would be linked to performance and quality enhancement. These universities would become a model for guiding the ICAR to introduce reforms in other agricultural universities.

It is also proposed to build up a strong faculty across all agricultural universities to greatly enhance the quality of agricultural education in India. This change is proposed to be brought through institutional development of agricultural universities in India.
